The cost of LEaning into joy: summer time fun time!
What's the matter? Why so afraid of joy?
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
I remember when I had a season in my life where I never used to trust the joy that God gives, because I thought it was just a temporary fluke to make me happy in that point in time. I remember when God would give me happy moments even within my difficult season like rays of sun for a hope to come. and instead of me to enjoy the laugh with a sister, the kindness of a fellow brother or sister in Christ. Or enjoy the blessings of generosity I always used to think "oh well snap I am smiling something bad must be about to happen''.
I want to testify to you that I had fully blown anxiety with panic attacks, heart palpitation and even gastric reflux but God has healed me from anxiety. I want to give God glory for that. God can heal anxiety stop claiming it as "my anxiety". It's not Yours in Jesus Christ Mighty Name. But a big part of my healing came when I actually started leaning into joy. What does Jesus teach us about leaning into joy ??
YOUR FIRST STEP TO HEALING AS WAS MINE WAS TO TRUST THE JOY THAT GOD BRINGS AND LEAN INTO THE JOY THAT GOD GIVES... LISTEN 👂 👂 LISTEN. Maybe finally God has brought that man or woman who loves you and treats you just right. Girl allow that Man of God to love up on you. Allow him to be used by God to nurture you and pour into you. Fellas maybe God has finally blessed you with a good praying woman stop following her around, asking her who she is with, and show me your background. Let that girl be used by God to show you what real peace and real faithfulness. And real love looks like. No she is not after your money. She just loves you and is sent by God. I don't know what your own testimony is I would like to here is God touches you...what is one place where God has brought joy to you and you are in need to lean in and trust on Him for that joy ??
